With the update of the railroad and the expansion of the Anvil Mine, the WP&YR needed many more trucks to bring the zinc and ore from Keno and Faro down to the Utah yard at Whitehorse. New Kenworth W923, 2nd generation of the needle nose trucks were delivered in fall 1969.
